CTET 2020: Official Advertisement of CTET 2020 has been released now and CTET 2020 Apply Online Link is Active. Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2020 is an entrance examination for Primary and elementary stage Teachers, Organised by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Delhi. As per the notification eligible candidate can apply online through the official website of CTET (ctet.nic.in) from 24.01.2020 till 24.02.2020.
According to CBSE Affiliation it shall be mandatory that the teachers appointed hereinafter i.e. 6 March 2012 to teach classes I to VIII in the Schools affiliated to the CBSE shall qualify/pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test or Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), conducted by the appropriate Central/ State Government.
There will be two papers of CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates seeking to become a teacher of class 1 to 5 must take Paper 1, while Paper 2 is intended for those wishing to become a Class 6–8 teacher. To teach students of all classes, , i.e. 1-8, one must appear in both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories
There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.

CTET 2020: Eligibility
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Age Limit for CTET 2020
There is no restriction on CTET Maximum Age Limit. However, Minimum age limit is 17 Years.
How To Apply Online: CTET 2020
STEP1: Log on to CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in.
STEP2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.
STEP3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No.
STEP4: Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature
STEP5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card and net banking
STEP6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.
- Visit the official website of CTET www.ctet.nic.in.
- Click on the “Apply online“ link.
- On the redirected page, click on “Click Here for New Registration”.
- Enter your basic information like Name, Date of Birth, Email ID and Mobile Number to register yourself.
- A provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Note them down. The same will also be sent to you via your registered email ID and phone number.
- Log in with your Provisional Registration Number and Password and edit the particulars, if necessary.
- Enter your Personal, Academic and other details.
- Upload scanned copies of your Signature, Photograph, Left Thumb Impression, and the Handwritten Declaration.
- Make payment of the application fee.
- Click on “Submit”.
- On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated.
- Download and print out several copies for future reference.
Note: The online application-process for CTET 2020 has started from 24.01.2020 and the last date for submitting online application will be 24.02.2020. The fee can be paid upto 27.02.2020 till 03.30 PM.
CTET 2020: Examination Pattern
There will be two papers of CTET.
- Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
- Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
A person who intents to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Qualifying Marks and CTET Certifiicate
A person who scores 60% or more in the TET 2020 exam will be considered as TET pass.

CBSE will provide Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) mark sheets to all candidates and eligibility certificates to successful candidates in Digital Format in their DigiLocker account. The mark sheets and eligibility certificates will be digitally signed and will be legally valid as per the IT Act.

Q.1 Can B Ed student apply for Ctet Paper 1?
Off course, B Ed student (Final year or Passed) can apply for the CTET.
Q2. Is B Ed eligible for primary teacher?
Yes, they are eligible for both primary and elementary category Teachers. However, If B.Ed candidates are appointed as primary teachers, it is mandatory for them to undergo a six-month bridge course in elementary education recognised by NCTE within two years of the appointment.
Q3. How many times one can attempt Ctet exam?
There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
Q4. Is Ctet conducted twice a year?
Yes, CTET are conducted twice a year. First one during June/July and Second one in the month of December.
Q5. Is Ctet 2020 valid in all states?
Usually, Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.
