LIC ADO: Job Profile
It is primarily a sales supervision job, basically a management cum marketing job.
The selected candidates will be required to sponsor suitable persons to be appointed as Life Insurance Agents, train them properly, and help the recruited agents to sell life insurance to maximum number of persons.
They will also be required to give prompt after sales service to policyholders. For this purpose considerable movement including tours covering the entire area allotted to them are involved.

LIC ADO 2019: Categories
The LIC ADO recruitment is divided into 3 different categories:
1. Agents Category
- An individual appointed or engaged by the Corporation for the purpose of soliciting or procuring insurance business including business relating to the continuance, renewal or revival of policies of insurance pertaining to the Corporation; or
- An individual who has been appointed as an agent under the Life Insurance Corporation of India (Agents) Regulations, 2017.
2. Employees Category
A confirmed whole-time salaried employee of the Corporation belonging to Class III.
3. Open Market Category / Other Category
The candidate from the open market.
Note: A candidate can apply under multiple categories (i.e.Open Market, Agents Category or Employee Category) subject to eligibility criteria prescribed for that particular category with regard to age/qualification/experience.
LIC ADO 2019: Educational Qualifications
Applicant should possess the Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institute.
Preference may be given to those applicants who have good knowledge of insurance marketing and also those who possess MBA in Marketing or PG Diploma in Marketing from a recognised Institution.
LIC ADO 2019: Age
The applicant shall have completed 21 years of age and not more than 30 years of age as on 01.05.2019.

For Open Category: There will be two On-line Test for Open Market Category/ Other Category.
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination:

Interview:
There will be an interview after the Main examination and marks obtained in Main Examination + marks obtained in Interview will be considered for final merit listing of candidates. Maximum Interview marks is 37.
Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination:
Before joining, Candidate has to pass medical fitness test conduct by the Medical Examiner authorized by LIC.
GURANTEE BOND:
Before joining as Apprentice Development Officer, candidates will be required to give an undertaking to serve the Corporation for a minimum period of four years from the date of joining (including apprenticeship period) failing which he/she or his/her heirs, executors, administrators will be liable to pay liquidated damages of ₹ 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) to the Corporation.
