Post Office Recruitment 2019: India Post has released the official notification for the posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) as Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak. A total of 1735 vacancies are available in Delhi Postal Circle, Himachal Pradesh Postal Circle and Jharkhand Postal Circle.

Educational Qualification
Candidate should have passed 10th board with passing marks in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognised Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India.
Compulsory knowledge of Local Language
The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard [as compulsory or elective subjects].

Basic Computer Training
Candidates must posses the basic Computer Training Course Certificate of at least 60 days duration from any Computer Training Institute run by Central Government/State Government /Universities / Boards / Private Institutions Organisations.
This requirement of basic computer knowledge certificate shall be relax-able in cases where a candidate has studied computer as a subject in Matriculation or class XII or any other higher educational level.
Knowledge of Cycling
Knowledge of Cycling is must for all GDS(Gramin Dak Sevak) posts. In case of a candidate having knowledge of riding a scooter or motor cycle, that may be considered as knowledge of cycling.

Post office Recruitment 2019: Selection Procedure
- Selection will be made as per the automatic generated merit list as per the rules based on the candidates online submitted applications.
- Only marks obtained in 10th Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals will be the criteria for finalising the selection.
- In case candidates get the same marks, the merit order would be taken as DOB(higher age as merit), ST female, SC female, OBC female, EWS female, UR female, ST Male, SC Male, OBC male, EWS male, UR male.
- Candidate can opt any choice of eligible posts in circle/circles and preference of priority will be made circle wise as per the order of posts applied as appeared in the submitted application.
- The candidate will get an SMS on his provisional selection on the prescribed date after selection.
Post office Recruitment 2019: How to Apply
- Candidate has to register in the Registration module once per cycle and obtain unique registration number. Registration will start from 06.06.2019 to 05.07.2019. This Vacancy is under Cycle 2.
- Fill the required details like: Name, Fathers name, Mobile number, DoB, Gender, 10th certificate number, etc.
- Only one Registration is allowed for one candidate. The same registration number should be used for submission of applications during the cycle to any of the circles.
- Candidates required to make fee payment of 100 Rs (UR/OBC/EWS Male).
- Upload the documents (Photo, Signature, SSC marks memo,DOB certificate if DOB not on SSC marks memo, additional SSC marks memos if any, Community(SC/ST/OBC/EWS) certicate if applicable, computer certificate, PH certificate if applicable).
