Rajasthan High Court Stenographer Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (12th) in Arts or Science or Commerce of the Rajasthan Board or an Examination equivalent there to recognized by the Government or any Higher Examination
- must possess a good working knowledge of Hindi as written in Devanagri script & of Rajasthani Dialects and;
- must have passed :-
“O” or Higher Level Certificate Course conducted by DOEACC under control of the Department of Electronics, Government of lndia;
OR
Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)/Data Preparation & Computer Software (DPCS) certificate organized under National/State council of Vocational Training Scheme;
OR
Diploma in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Computer Science & Engineering from any Polytechnic Institute/ university established recognized by the Government;
OR
Rajasthan State Certificate Course in lnformation Technology (RSCIT) Conducted by Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota under control of Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited;
OR
Senior Secondary School Examination with Computer Science as an optional subject; OR
Any equivalent or higher qualification.
Age Limit
For the direct recruitment of Rajasthan High court Stenographer, Candidates Age should be in between 18 years to 40 years as on date 01.01.2021.
Relaxation in upper Age Limit
- Upper Age limit would be relaxed by 5 Years for SC/ST/OBC/BC candidates.
- For women candidates Age limit is relaxed by 5 years.

Rajasthan High Court Stenographer 2020: Selection Procedure
The selection process will comprise of three stages – English/Hindi Shorthand Test, Computer Test and Interview to qualify for the Rajasthan High court Stenographer post.
Competitive Examination for the posts of Stenographers Grade-lll /Stenographers shall consist of the subject given in two alternative Groups A and B, A candidate shall be required to pass the subject group of the post applied and required to pass Group C compulsorily

Interview
There is no marks for Interview. The purpose of Interview is to only ensure that no candidate is stuttering to the extent that he is unable to read what he has written.
Method of Conducting Stenography Test
- Before dictating the final Shorthand passage to the candidates, a trial passage containing 200-250 words should be dictated at the same speed at which the final passage is intended to be dictated. The trial passage need not be transcribed and will not be taken into account while marking.
- After a lapse of two three minutes, of the dictation of trial passage, the final passage should be dictated by the same person keeping in view the uniformity of speed which can be achieved by marking the passage after every 80-100 records as the case may, be.
- After the final passage is dictated, five minutes time should be allowed to the candidates for reading the dictated passage.
- The candidates should be required to transcribe the passage on computer
Method of Conducting Speed & Efficiency Test
- The language of Speed & Efficiency Test shall be same as the language of Shorthand Test.
- The font for Computer Test shall be “Kruti Dev 010” for Hindi and “Calibri” for English.
- Minimum Speed should be 8000 key depressions per hour on computer.
- Efficiency Test may be taken on word processing software. It shall include formatting of Test, Paragraph, Page & Table using proper methods and formatting of letters.

- Log on to http://www.hcraj.nic.in
- Click on link “Recruitment” provided on the home page.
- Now click on “Stenographers for District Courts and DLSAs 2020” link.
- On the redirected page, click on “Click Here for New Registration”.
- Enter your basic information like Name, Date of Birth, Email ID and Mobile Number to register yourself.
- A provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Note them down. The same will also be sent to you via your registered email ID and phone number.
- Log in with your Provisional Registration Number and Password and edit the particulars, if necessary.
- Enter your Personal, Academic and other details.
- Upload scanned copies of your Signature and Photograph.
- Make payment of the application fee.
- Click on “Submit”.
- On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated.
- Download and print out several copies for future reference.
