SSC Selection Post Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
Nationality/ Citizenship:
A candidate must be either a citizen of India, or Nepal, or Bhutan, Tibetan Refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Application Fee:
- Fee payable: Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only).
- Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST , Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
- Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
Age Limit
Minimum age- 18 years
Maximum age- vary for different posts.
Please refer the Official Notification for Category wise Age Limit.
The Crucial date for determining of age-limit will be 01-08-2019.
Essential Qualification:
candidates must ensure that they possess the Essential Qualifications including Experience wherever it is prescribed as Essential Qualification and also meet the age-limit as on the crucial date mentioned in detailed notification.
The posts where experience is required, such experience must be acquired by the candidates after completing educational qualification as specified for the concerned post. Further, internship, training, research experience, etc gained in the course of
Acquiring an educational qualification will not be counted as experience.
The Crucial date for determining of essential qualification will be 01-01-2020.
SSC Phase VIII: Selection Procedure
- Computer Based Objective Examination
- Skill Tests like Typing/ Data Entry/ Computer Proficiency Test, etc as applicable
EXAMINATION PATTERN:
There will be three separate Computer Based Examinations consisting of Objective Type Multiple Choice questions, for the posts with minimum Educational Qualification of Matriculation, Higher Secondary and Graduation & above levels.
The details of subjects, marks and number of questions subject- wise will be as given below:-

SSC Selection Post Phase VIII How to apply
- Candidates will have to apply for each category of post separately and also pay fee for each category.
- Applications must be submitted in online mode only at the official website of SSC Headquarters i.e. https://ssc.nic.in
- Last date for submission of online applications is 20-03-2020 (12.59 PM).
