Tamilnadu Polytechnic Lecturer Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Lecturer in Engineering subjects: A Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology / Architecture with not less than sixty Percent of marks or equivalent either at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level.
Lecturer in non-Engineering subjects: A first class Master’s degree in the appropriate branch of study.
Age Limit
Candidates should not have completed 57 years as on 01/07/2019
Tamil Language
The candidates applying for the posts mentioned above should have passed Tamil Language as Part I or part II up to SSLC or PUC /Higher Secondary Course levels. If not, he/she should pass Tamil Language Test conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission within two years from the date of his/her appointment.

The selection will be based on two successive stages

- The Computer based examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 150 MCQs.
- Questions in the main subject will be on the subject for which the candidate has applied for.

Weightage marks as detailed below will be awarded after Certificate Verification for the eligible short-listed candidates.

The final selection of the candidates is subject to fulfillment of necessary eligibility criteria and the decision of Teachers Recruitment Board is final. Tamilnadu Polytechnic Lecturer: How to Apply
- Candidates should apply only through online mode in the Teachers Recruitment Board website http://www.trb.tn.nic.in.
- A valid e-mail id and Mobile Number of candidate are mandatory for registration and e-mail id should be kept active as all the communications will be sent to the registered email id only.
- On the redirected page, click on “Click Here for New Registration”.
- Enter your basic information like Name, Date of Birth, Email ID and Mobile Number to register yourself.
- A provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Note them down. The same will also be sent to you via your registered email ID and phone number.
- Log in with your Provisional Registration Number and Password and edit the particulars, if necessary.
- Enter your Personal, Academic and other details.
- Upload scanned copies of your Signature, Photograph, Left Thumb Impression, and the Handwritten Declaration.
- Make payment of the application fee.
- Click on “Submit”.
- On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated.
- Download and print out several copies for future reference.
